TRACK 1 – ENRICHMENT

WHY?

To meet the need for young people who work with CBM to have formal Bible Training while giving them the opportunity to experience missions through the work of CBM.

WHAT?

August Team: August-May at CBM HQ enrolled in online Bible classes through Davis College’s Excel Program and serving in the ministry. May-July at a CBM camp. August Mission Trip.

January Team: January-May at CBM HQ enrolled in online Bible classes through Davis College’s Excel Program and serving in the ministry. May-July at a CBM camp. August Mission Trip. September-January at CBM HQ finishing Davis College’s online Bible classes.

Graduate with a one-year Bible certificate (30 credits) from an accredited college.

WHO?

Anyone 18+ who has graduated High School or has a GED, has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and desires to obtain a Bible certificate.

WHEN?

August Team: Starting August. Graduate at the CBM National Conference the following September. 

January Team: Starting January. Graduate at the CBM Headquarters the following January.

WHERE?

CBM Headquarters (9 months), a CBM summer camp (3 months), overseas mission trip (3 weeks including training and debriefing), National Conference.

FINANCES?

Through partnership with Davis College’s Excel Program, designed exclusively for ministries and churches, Enrichment students are able to receive the one-year Bible certificate (10 classes; 30 accredited college credits) at 10% of the cost: $199 per class vs $1,999 per class, for a grand total of $1,990. All students will apply for FAFSA, which can greatly reduce costs, or eliminate them altogether. CBM WILL SUBSIDIZE ALL REMAINING COSTS FOR CLASSES during the interns’ time of ministry service at the CBM HQ. Interns will also receive a $400/month stipend, as well as room and board and some meals.

Orientation: Presenting a Christ-centered testimony; How to teach/CBM curriculum; Fundraising; Professional Image; Personality/Gifts; Life Skills; Evangelism; Christian Leadership; Business Skills; Basics of Nutrition/Cooking; Phone Etiquette/Customer Service; Cleaning

Fall Term A: Life, Ethics & Worldview; Systematic Theology I; Pentateuch

Fall Term B: Latter Prophets; Acts/Romans

Spring Term A: Hermeneutics; Former Prophets; Pauline Epistles

Spring Term B: Life of Christ; Systematic Theology II

Summer Term: Ministry Practicum (serving at a CBM summer camp)

TRACK 2 – IMMERSION

WHY?

To provide a longer, more customized experience, focusing on leadership development in the interns’ area of ministry interest. To allow for those who already have formal Bible Training to skip Enrichment.

WHAT?

August Team: August-September at CBM HQ for Orientation. October-August rotations on either a U.S. or International Track. August Group Mission Trip.

January Team: January-February at CBM HQ for Orientation. March-January rotations on either a U.S. or International Track. August Group Mission Trip.

WHO?

Anyone 18+ who has graduated High School or has a GED, has at least one year of formal Bible Training (can be from the Enrichment Year), has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and desires to have multiple learning experiences on the mission field through CBM.

WHEN?

August Team: Starting August. Graduate at the CBM National Conference the following September.

January Team: Starting January. Graduate at the CBM Headquarters the following January.

WHERE?

CBM Headquarters (2 months), CBM rotations stateside or international (10 months), overseas mission trip (3 weeks including training and debriefing), National Conference.

FINANCES?

Immersion interns will receive $400/month stipend, possible camping certifications (CPR, lifeguarding, ropes course, etc), as well as room and board and some meals, from CBM for their ministry work.
